Building Hope. Creating Stability. Empowering Futures.

Why We Founded IdDeen’s House of Hope:

A Legacy of Resilience

Our purpose is rooted in a powerful personal legacy. Our father, Isam IdDeen (also known as Billy Tindall, 1945–2025), entered the foster care system in New York after the tragic loss of both parents. Despite the challenges, he used the support he received to build an extraordinary life.

He graduated from high school and went on to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned scholarships in basketball, track, and high jump, and was later inducted into the UMass Hall of Fame. He worked in finance on Wall Street, trained and played alongside notable basketball legends, and later dedicated his life to service as an Executive Director of a nonprofit re-entry program, supporting individuals with criminal justice histories as they rebuilt their lives.

He often shared that his time in foster care shaped his confidence, resilience, and determination, and that the mentorship he received helped him believe in himself and pursue success.

We established IdDeen’s House of Hope in 2026 to honor his journey and ensure that every young adult aging out of foster care has the mentorship, stability, and opportunity needed to build their own successful future. Our homes are designed to be the same kind of launchpad for today’s youth that our father’s support system was for him.

His legacy lives on through every life we touch and every young adult who finds hope, safety, and direction within our homes.
